_Welcome to Freeworld Airways Freeworld Airways is a Virtual airline for users of X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator. Our aim is to give users a highly realistic flying experience, simulating real-world airline operations for pilots who appreciate doing it just right. Our routes are based on real-world flight plans and are verified by the local aviation authorities. Our rating system is based on pilot merit, not amount of hours flown. This means that a good pilot is not forced into flying small planes for an extended period of time while gaining hours. Our pilots are welcome to fly on both IVAO and VATSIM, as well as just flying off-line. We are based in Germany and the UK, with a route network stretching across 5 continents and bases in North America, Asia and the Pacific. Our pilots have access to the best fleet available to an X-Plane VA consisting of none other than the outstanding aircraft by the X-Plane Freeware Project and XP Jets. Microsoft Flight Sim users are provided with highly detailed aircraft liveries optimised for the finest add-on aircraft available. 2008-06-20 Milestones FreeWorld has now operated over 8500 flights, our pilots have logged 20 000 hours and we have transported 700 000 people. The management would like to thank our pilots for their effort. Very few virtual airlines reach figures like these - in only 4 years! We argued about it. We thought about it. We decided that the thing that sets FreeWorld apart from it’s competitors is the quality of it’s pilots and tough training system - not the fact that it runs on X-Plane. We want to let others who are serious about their hobby, but happen to have a different simulator participate in our airline. Thus FreeWorld now warmly welcomes MS Flight Simulator pilots.
